🎧 Pendulum Flow Meditation
If a sensation feels overwhelming during meditation, simply "staying with it" isn't always helpful—it can make things worse. Instead, in this practice, we pendulate our attention between the difficult sensation and a more pleasant or neutral one, like warmth in the hands or the rhythm of the breath. This helps integrate discomfort without feeling overwhelmed.

🧘 What I’ve been up to
I’m just getting back from guiding a weekend retreat in Yamanashi. It was a small, intimate group, full of rich and meaningful conversation. It was really touching to see people come in with goals/intentions and then in just a short 24 hours feel like they gained real insight and progress. So grateful!
🔥 What I enjoyed listening to
An incredible podcast episode about Fire. Great to listen to it while you’re gazing at a fire :)
👀 Planning your dream retreat
I am excited to be planning our next mindfulness retreat this May in Okinawa. I want to make this one tailored to your needs and would love to get your feedback and perspective. Would you mind answering a few questions here? It should take about 2 minutes. Thank you! 🙏😊 (even if you can’t join this one, your feedback is still helpful for future events)
